JOE'S DUGOUT STATION
Dear Students, Joe's dugout looked about as fancy as its name. Joe's home was a coyote hole dugout. There was no water near his station, so he decided to dig a well. Joe dug more than 200 feet without finding a single drop. Meals and lodging were not available at Joe's Dugout, although whiskey could be purchased for one dollar a bottle. No one wanted to spend long here since it was an easy ten miles through Cedar Valley to Camp Floyd. |
