    Intended Learning Outcomes

    Students will identify the various skills and responsibilities of parenting. They will evaluate personal readiness for parenting roles and responsibilities. The human reproductive process, infertility, pregnancy, and steps that lead to a healthy life style will be explained. They will explain the birth process and the needs of a new infant. Students will identify parenting styles, including positive guidance techniques that help children develop positive self-concepts, self-management, and responsibility. Students will explain how self-concept is built and preserved and how it relates to the perception of individual strengths and weaknesses. They will identify the causes and symptoms of stress, and describe positive forms of stress management.
