Student Prior Knowledge

Before completing the lesson plan, students should have watched the Animoto on figurative language and looked at Mrs. Warner's website for a general understanding of figurative language.

Assessment Plan

Have student choose their favorite idiom and draw a literal representation of the phrase. As a final project, students can put together their printed idioms from the Eyes on Idioms Tool and typed passages and bind them together to create an idiom book.
