Summary

Students will read a story of their choice. Next, they will create questions and find the answers to at least (5) who, what, where, when, how , why questions. Last, they will create an Animoto to share their comprehension findings with the class.

Student Prior Knowledge

Students need to know how to use Animoto and all of its functions. They need to be familiar with creating questions when reading text.


Intended Learning Outcomes

This is a comprehension activity. The goal is to think about what the story is telling. To create questions like a teacher might and answer them.


Instructional Procedures

Students will choose a story book with a partner. They will read the story and create five questions using who, what, where, when, why and how. Next they will find the answers to their questions. Last, they will create an Animoto to show their findings.


Assessment Plan

Students will be assessed upon if they complete rubric criteria.
