Students will be able to follow directions for a map and identify angles created for the path they take.
Traveling with Angles worksheet, Math journal, pencil, map with compass rose, task sheet, colored pencils, protractor, and a variety of manipulatives for student choices, etc.
This is an introductory lesson to the following: points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines.
In third grade students identified quadrilaterals by their attributes which was limited to four sides, four angles, and four corners.
Math Practices 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,and 6 will likely be used.
