Students use the Internet to find out how Utah has changed over time due to erosion and plate tectonics.
Materials
Instructional Procedures
- Hook activity -- Ask students what activities they think they could do along the Wasatch front if they lived 500 million years ago. After you get some answers tell them, "What if I told you the Wasatch front was a beach on the ocean back then, now what kind of activities would you do?" Let them know the will be learning about how Utah has changed over time because of erosion and plate movement.
- Hand out the webquest and let the students begin.
