Carbon Cycle Web Game

Summary:
Students will explore a web game that identifies sources of carbon and the changes it goes through as it travels the carbon cycle.

Science - Earth Science
Standard 3 Objective 3

Examine the natural and human-caused processes that cause Earth's climate to change over intervals of time ranging from decades to millennia.

This is a good introductory lesson.

Instructional Procedures:

  1. Hand out student sheet (attached).
  2. Go over the procedures.
  3. Have students log on to the following website: Carbon Cycle Game
  4. Give students time to work
  5. Discuss analysis questions.
