Summary:
Students will establish the degree of temperature change for a reaction and then change the concentration of one reactant.

Science - Chemistry
Standard 4 Objective 2

Analyze evidence for the laws of conservation of mass and conservation of energy in chemical reactions.

Safety glass, normal lab safety with chemicals

Instructional Procedures:

  1. Students may need to be reminded how to make molar solutions.
  2. The calculations for q can be omitted if desired.
  3. Solutions may be premixed to save time.
  4. All other instructions and procedures are on the student instructions and worksheet attached.
