Teachers need to be aware of where students can go for help in discovering career options, help with resumes, job applications, etc.

How to fill out a job application, do a resume, and cover letter.

1. Students will set a career goal.
2. Students will complete a job application, resume, and cover letter.

The teacher may invite a guest speaker from workforce services the day before to talk about finding a job. After talking about careers, have students compile a job portfolio using the items listed on the job kit page. If a computer lab is available, take students to the lab to write resumes and cover letters.
