Classify the types of childcare programs by category.

It would be helpful to read the text on Program models.


Student Prior Knowledge:
Helpful to have worked in child care or visited a number of different kinds of daycares.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
Students will understand the differences of the three different philosophies and the types of child care establishments that reflect these philosophies.

Instructional Procedures:
Power point presentation to be accompanied with Program Model work paper. Follow up with visits to a preschool of each of the different models. Evaluate each.


Assessment Plan:
Successful completion of notes sheet and evaluation sheet on each center visited.
