Summary: This course is the next step for educators who have completed “GIS in the Classroom” and “The GPS Classroom”. Learn how to bring the two technologies, GIS and GPS, together to create projects to use in the classroom. Participants enhance their GIS skills and learn to incorporate data gathering, GPS, and other field work techniques into “real, rich and relevant” learning activities for their students. This class consists of two initial days in a row, then a third day two to four weeks later for completion of projects. All three days must be completed to earn credit or points.
