    Student Prior Knowledge

    It is best to have read chapter 6.


    Intended Learning Outcomes

    Students will have some ideas about how to say "No". Students will evaluate their own communication patterns for roadblocks they might be using. Students will learn good couple communication, listening, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Day 1 - How to say "No"
  • Day 2 - Communication introduction and assertiveness
  • Day 3 - Non-verbal and roadblocks
  • Day 4 - Misperceptions and good couple communication
  • Day 5 - "I" messages and listening skills
  • Day 6 - Conflict resolution.
  • Print all the lesson plans and handouts provided on the FHS 2400 CD.


    Assessment Plan

    Students will have completed the reading tests before coming to class. A final Exam will be given on the chapter. Final project = Family communication star event.
