Summary

Families come in all shapes and sizes. There is not one family type that is better than another. The family unit has changed much over the last several years. Find ways to strengthen your family, because you are all interconnected.

• Bell Ringer Cards for each student
• Family Dynamics PowerPoint Presentation
• Napkins (one per student)
• Donuts (one per student)
• Family Dynamics Study Guide Handout
• Family Settings Information Sheet
• Changes Affecting Families Information Sheet
• Ball of Yarn per group (five students per group)
• Family Fun Homework Assignment

Intended Learning Outcomes

Explain how a teen's responsibility, or lack of it, affects others. Examine family forms and dynamics. Identify ways teenagers can improve or destroy family relationships and the home environment.

Assessment Plan

Assign the students the homework assignment, "Family Fun". It will be due next class period.
