Summary

In this research-based activity students will distinguish between abiotic and biotic factors in an ecosystem. They will also investigate the interactions between these.

Student Prior Knowledge

Students need to understand the difference between abiotic and biotic. They also should understand the relationships between biotic organisms in an ecosystem.


Instructional Procedures

  1. Give students student sheet and allow them time to find information.
  2. Encourage the use of online resources from Pioneer Library (e.g. World Book Encyclopedia, Science in Context and/or Science Reference Center in addition to Google or Wikipedia).
