Follow Directions Went beyond the directions to connect with the learning experience. Followed the directions. Followed most of the directions. Did not follow the directions given for the assignment.
Historical/Geographical Knowledge Tied homework experience with what was learned in class and in life. Tied the homework experience to what was learned in class. Weak or little ties to content knowledge. Does not seem related to what we learned in class.
Appearance Went beyond simple organization to create something of quality. Organized according to the instructions given. Somewhat haphazard, but contains all the required material. No apparent effort at organization.
Writing/Photographs Writing is carefully formed, readable, and demonstrates an understanding of the subject. OR Visual content (maps, photographs, etc.) are carefully created and cleverly used. Writing and/or visual aids show care in formation and thought. Writing/visuals contain all required material, but fail to show depth of thought. Writing/visual aids show a lack of effort (i.e. handwritten, simply cut/pasted, incomplete sentences, difficult to read, etc).
