    • Very few test items in Elementary and Secondary Math. Different servers have different test items.

USOE Updates - Rick Gaisford

    • Federal Stimulus Package will probably give Utah Education Technology around $5 million - spread over two years. 25% must be used for professional development. (In addition to the current EETT funds, Utah districts will get about 3.5 million for the first year. (1/2 of the funds will be distributed to districts on a formula, based on poverty numbers, and 1/2 will be distributed via competitive grants)
    • Rick and a committee just finished reading 191 Qwest grant applications. 22 grants were selected. (Up to $2,500 per grant.)
    • EETT grants are almost ready to be announced. One supports best practices for teaching math. And the other was an IT related grant.
