Add eMedia to Blackboard

Did you know you can now easily search for and add eMedia content to your Blackboard course? To do this, simply select "eMedia" from the "Add Content Link" button on the Build tab in your course.

If you have questions about how this works, contact your Blackboard faculty support center at your institution.

Blackboard Tutorials Moved

Blackboard has now made available a new notification system for Blackboard SafeAssign.  The new system will provide a notification of either unplanned outages or planned maintenance of the SafeAssignT service through an RSS feed.  You can access the new feed at https://behind.blackboard.com/s/rss/SafeAssignUpdates.

Blackboard Tip: Selective Release

Selective Release

Instructors can use selective release to control when course content is visible to students in a course. Content can be released to students based on date, students, groups, or grade book criteria.

  1. Login to Blackboard Vista
  2. Go to the section you want to specify release criteria for (Build Tab)
  3. Under Designer Tools, click Selective Release.
  4. For any content you want to selectively release, click the Set Release Criteria button to specify the release criteria.
  5. Choose the type of criteria (date, member, group, or grade book) and fill in the criteria for releasing the content to students.
