Strand 2
Students will connect the impact of family relationships and the role teenagers have in the family.
Standard 1
Explain how a young adult's attitudes and behaviors affect family relationships.
  • Family Dynamics
    Families come in all shapes and sizes. There is not one family type that is better than another. The family unit has changed much over the last several years. Find ways to strengthen your family, because you are all interconnected.
  • Importance of Families 1: Family Functions and Forms
    This lesson is the first in the series of lessons entitled "The Importance of a Family". In this lesson we will discuss: family forms and strengths, and family traditions.
  • Importance of Families 4: Parent Panel
    Students will participate in parent panel by discussing family rules and by asking the parents questions that they would like to ask their parents.
  • Importance of Families 5: Family Crest
    Students will create a family crest based on several unique qualities in their families.
