  • Dino Detectives
    Students will learn about prehistoric life in Utah.
  • Fly on the Ceiling
    Students will play a variety of games to help them understand coordinates.
  • How Big is a Dinosaur?
    Using a grid, students will help create an enlarged replica of a stegosaurus drawing.
  • Map Scale and the Pioneer Journey
    Using a map, ruler and calculator, determine the distance the pioneers traveled from Nauvoo, Ill. to the Salt Lake Valley.
  • Mapping It Out
    This activity will help students learn about Utah's environments, temperature, elevation and rainfall.
  • Math 4 - Act. 16: Defining: Cylinders, Cubes, & Prisms
    This activity is intended to give students experience looking at solids and sorting them by their attributes.
  • Where Are the Points?
    The students will be able to find coordinates on a Cartesian coordinate grid, give coordinates to items on a grid, locate regions on a map of Utah, and tell the class the regions on a map of Utah in the first quadrant of the coordinate grid.
