Students will understand how geography influences community location and development.

Describe how various communities have adapted to existing environments and how other communities have modified the environment.
  • Community Adaptations

    This is a lesson on how communities have adapted to the environment. Students will understand that people need to make unlivable areas livable by diverting resources.

    Essential Questions

    • Why do humans modify ecosystems?
    • What can we do to protect our ecosystems?
    • Why should we protect our ecosystems?
