(Vocabulary): Students learn and use grade level vocabulary to increase understanding and read fluently.
Objective 1
Learn new words through listening and reading widely.
 
  • Between the Lions: Stories
    This site includes a collection stories from PBS's Between the Lions series. Each story is followed by a game.
  • Coconut Words
    Read the sentence and choose the correct word that completes the sentence. Good sight word practice. Three different levels.
  • Vocabulary Builder
    Student matches up words with the meaning. The student is able to have both word and meaning read to them.
  • What's the Word
    Students are given a picture and asked to select the word that describes the picture.
  • Word Game
    Read the sentence and select the word that fits the description. Try to get three in a row to advance to next level.
