(Oral Language): Students develop language for the purpose of effectively communicating through listening, speaking, viewing, and presenting.
 
  • Aaron Shephard's Readers Theater
    A collection of stories that have been written for a reader's theater. Many of the stories include tips for presenting a reader's theater as well as other resources. A great resource for fluency practice.
  • Mama Lisa's World
    This site contains children's songs and rhymes from many nations.
  • Scripts & Tips for Reader's Theater
    This site includes a variety of sources for Reader’s Theater, including scripts for young readers. A great resource for fluency materials.
  • StoryArt Online
    This site provides resources and activities to encourage storytelling in the classroom. The Story Theater includes several stories that are read outloud. The story library has a collection of short stories good for retelling. There is also a collection of lesson plans, activities, and techniques for using storytelling in the classroom.
  • Teaching with Primary Sources - Developing the Constitution
    This Annotated Resource Set was developed by Laurie Banks as part of the Teaching with Primary Sources Western Regional Center - a pilot program funded by the Library of Congress.
