Objective 2
Develop skills in gross and fine motor movement.
  • Exploring Balance
    Simple activities for younger children to explore balance.
  • Feel the Music
    Students will learn terms that describe music, they will move to music, and express themselves with paint while listening to music.
  • Hinges Are a Part of You
    These activities are designed to promote writing readiness addressing dominate hand use, small muscle development, eye-hand coordination, ability to copy, and an orientation to reading readiness.
  • Hinges I, Hinges II
    These activities are designed to teach students to use their bodies in daily activities, by promoting a regular routine of using large and small motor skills, personal space, and boundary awareness.
  • K - Act. 01: Kindergarten Exploration Tubs
    Information about the Kindergarten Exploration Tubs
  • Line Dancing the Kindergarten Way!
    Students perform a line dance to reinforce story telling through movement.
  • Locomotor Sequencing (K)
    Students must listen and follow directions. They will perform locomotor movements based upon those directions.
  • Tortoise and Hare Races
    Using the The Tortoise and the Hare fable students will learn basic map skills.
  • We Are Alike and We Are Different
    Students will create a paper face and a paper face book.
  • Weather Walks
    Students will learn about weather by taking walks in various types conditions: sunny, rainy, windy and snowy.
