Course Description
YOUNG PARENTS/GRADS—(.5-1.0 credits) This course if for students who are or will be teen parents. The emphasis in this course is Graduation, Reality, and Dual-Role Skills (GRADS). This course addresses the pre-and post-natal needs of the parent and child, responsibilities of parenthood, financial management, nutrition and food, child care and guidance, job-seeking skills, and steps to being independent. There is an emphasis on the realities of parenthood and the importance of preparation for the world of work.
