Course Description
DESIGNER SEWING/FASHION DESIGN—(.5 credit) This course is designed for students who have
interests in the fields of design, apparel, textiles, and clothing construction. Individual projects using
design principles will be used as vehicles to further develop the students’ skills. Experiences may include
pattern design, surface design, principles of clothing construction, fitting and alteration, custom sewing,
home decorating, and other entrepreneurial opportunities.
