The metadata elements clustered under COLLECTIONS help define to what agency, institution or group an aggregation of related media items, assets or learning objects are attributed, although the Collection Name does not necessarily convey who contributed the collection of media items. |

COLLECTION NAME identifies by name a grouping, department, institution, organization, or aggregation from which media items have been donated, harvested, imported, gathered, purchased or procurred. The name must be commonly understood and applied consistently. |

"Collection Name" is one of the mandatory metadata fields that must be populated in a challenge window when a video program is being set up for ingestion into North Plains Telescope Video Manager (known there as Collection ID).
