The metadata elements clustered under TITLES identify given, supplied, and alternative titles for media items, as well as the type of title being assigned and its unique media identifier. Included under TITLES is a Contextual Title which helps identify the hierarchical context in which a media item exists; the Contextual Titles also alphabetize search results nicely as they identify the components of a title statement from the largest context down to the smallest context. |

The TITLE (WORKING) is a "working title" assigned to a video program that is in the workflow processes attached to the North Plains Telescope DAM system and its Video Manager. This is not the official or proper title of a media item as it would be searched and viewed by an end user through Telescope, but is instead a unique identifier for the program during its first phase of production and preparation for the digital asset management system (such as segmenting and captioning). |
"Title (working)" is one of the mandatory metadata fields that must be populated in a challenge window when a video program is being set up within Telescope's Video Manager. |

For UCME, the TITLE (WORKING) is an 8 character file named assigned by FileMaker Pro; a full length video program that is digitized follows this protocol: FLXXXXXX.mov. For UIMC and other collections, a different protocol has been specified by UEN. |
