V DESCRIPTION...
* DEFINITION...
In 1985, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) made an agreement with the National Parent Teacher Association and the Parents' Music Resource Center (PMRC) stating that music recordings containing explicit content would be identified with a permanent label to help parents regulate what their children listen to. The term "Parental Advisory-Explicit Content" refers to music that contains specific depictions of violence, sex, profanity, and/or drug use.

* GUIDELINES...
Associating the "Parental Advisory-Explicit Content" flag with a piece of music indicates that the music contains specific depictions of violence, sex, profanity, and/or drug use, but is not as granular as the ESRB Game Ratings system. In fact, the advisory warning is all there is to the RIAA Content Flag.
