The Publication Place is often only revealed as a city, especially within the United States. Cities that are outside the USA are often associated with their state or province, as well as their country.

In any case, if there is more than one component in the Publication Place, the individual terms are separated by a comma+space.

Do not end the publication_place string with a period. When publication_place is harvested for the source_citation functional rule, the proper punctuation will be added automatically.

See the examples for variations on reporting the Publication Place.
