October Featured Items
10/12/2009 12:05 AMAs the weather gets cooler, so do the items we feature for you this October! Check out "A Very Brave Witch" - a fun video about how exciting trick-or-treating can be. While you're trick-or-treating, don't forget it is safety month! "Fire Safety: The Great Escape" will help you plan a fire escape route in your house.

QuickTime 7.6 Update
10/5/2009 12:10 AMIf you've been searching for videos in eMedia recently, your browser may have prompted you to download the latest version of QuickTime. Unfortunatly, our service is currently incompatible with the latest release. If you are asked to update, for now, decline the option to update.
If you have already updated, the video preview in eMedia will display a black box for video and play the audio. However, when you have successfully downloaded the video to your computer, the video should play normally.
Please note that this is a PC issue only, if you are using a Mac, you are free to update the player.
We are currently working to solve this issue. Please email emedia@uen.org or call 1-800-866-5852 with any other questions or concerns you may have.

A New Look!
9/11/2009 12:15 AMYou may have noticed things have changed a little bit around here. UEN has improved our Digital Media Service homepage. Here's a list of features to look for when you're browsing the new page:
- More Support - We have added "Frequently Asked Questions" so you can get quick answers when you need them most. We've also listed our support phone number and email so you can call or email us when you're having trouble finding an item you are looking for, or can't seem to download a video. We're here to help!
- RSS Updates - You can subscribe to our RSS feed to learn about what's new in eMedia, technical support updates and more! What exactly is a RSS feed? You can learn more about that here.
- Featured Video Previews - We've added a video player with a few clips with featured media from the Digital Media Service. The videos featured here can always be downloaded by entering the Digital Media Service, and clicking on the "Featured this Month" catalog.
- Tech Tips - Using online media can sometimes be tricky. We've included a few tech tips to help you along your way. These tips may help you solve a problem, learn new ways to store your digital media or learn best practices for using media in the classroom.
