Our Request
The UEN Governing Board is comprised of engaged leaders that know our technology infrastructure is key to education success and meeting the 66% by 2020 goals.
The UEN Board recommends funding three critical educational technology infrastructure needs:
1. Elementary Connectivity
Elementary Connectivity Phase 2 of a multi-year strategy to equalize the uneven cost of circuits for school districts.
2. Capital Equipment Maintenance and Replacement
Dedicated funding for a seven-year refresh cycle on network equipment and one-time funds to address a back-log of our most critical maintenance projects.
3. Multimedia Infrastructure
Software and tools used to encode, catalog, host and deliver multimedia for public and higher education statewide. This is the back-end of the UEN eMedia service. Learn more...
