THE WAR, directed and produced by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, tells the story of the Second World War through the personal accounts of men and women from four quintessentially American towns. The seven part series tries to bring one of the biggest events in the history of the world down to a very intimate scale. And in the end, we all begin to see that there are no "ordinary lives."
Beginning September 23, 2007 on KUED 7
KUED will produce an 18-minute special that will air October 2, 2007 after episode seven of The War. The special will celebrate the Utah stories that KUED has told over the past two years in the landmark four-part series Utah World War II Stories. Not only will the special highlight the stories of Utah's veterans, it also will honor those who have passed since sharing their stories with us.
