Dear Dr. Smith,
I am an eighth grade biology teacher at City Middle School. My beginning biology class is studying animal adaptation. As part of our study, we would like to visit City Zoo and take digital photographs of the animals. We then plan to use the photographs to create a Virtual Field Trip using UEN's Virtual Field Trip Toolkit for teachers. You can see it online at www.uen.org/utahlink/tours.
The Utah Education Network, an organization supported by Utah taxpayers whose mission is to promote and support technology use in Utah schools. By creating an Internet tour, we will help other students who are unable to visit City Zoo in person. Students who take the electronic tour will see photos, read text written by my students, and answer quiz questions to check their learning.
We would like your permission to visit your Zoo, take photographs, and publish the photographs on the Internet. Please sign the enclosed "permission to publish" form and return it using the stamped self-addressed envelope. Feel free to call if you have any questions.
