Service Description
Circuit Contract Management UEN Operational Services procures and manages network circuits supporting the Internet service to UEN stakeholders.
EBC Data Center Operational Computing Services manages the EBC Data Center operations for enterprise applications and UEN services for stakeholders.
Domain Name Service (DNS) UEN ensures Domain Name Service to provide Internet service even in the event of system failures in points in the network.
EBC Desktop and Network Support UEN manages and maintains desktop computers plus related equipment and services such as email and remote access for departments and staff located in Eccles Broadcast Center.
Enterprise Backup Recovery Data backup and recovery services are located off-site for disaster recovery and business continuity.
E-Rate Coordination The Utah Education Network is the single largest applicant for E-Rate funds in the state. UEN serves as the E-Rate consortium lead in applying for and implementing the E-rate funds received for the services provided to schools under UEN’s purview. UEN also provides E-rate Program Coordination at the state level for all eligible E-rate Program participants.
Grants Administration UEN has successfully competed for federal grants from CPB, NTIA, RUS and more that correspond with UEN’s strategic mission. UEN continues to apply for federal grants that match strategic objectives.
Membership Systems for Public Media Partners UEN supports media partners KUED and KUER by maintaining membership systems for their Development Departments.
Network Load Balancing UEN engineers work on traffic shaping and load balancing to ensure optimal network performance.
Oracle Database Servers UEN licenses and maintains Oracle database servers.
Storage Area Network (SAN) Our SAN provides high capacity, redundant data storage across UEN enterprise services.
