Integer Exploration
Here's your chance to become a little more acquainted with Integers. You'll find some information and activities to help you practice. Answer the questions given and complete each task.
Fact Monster

- What three types of numbers are classified as integers?
- Give at least three examples of a non-integer.
- When using a number line, why do you move to the right when adding positive integers?
- When using a number line, why do you move to the left when subtracting positive integers?
- Why do you suppose that you move to the right when you are subtracting a negative integer?

- Finish reading these directions before going to the website above:)
- Click on the level that says Hard. (Don't worry, it's not hard since you are no longer in third grade.)
- Play and explore until you get 15 correct.
- When you're finished go on to the next site, remember to read the directions first.
- When finished with this activity, you may want to return above to Fact Monster and finish answering questions.

- Take two laps. One with multiplication and the other with division.
- You are the red car. Your goal is to beat the blue car, obviously.
- So, how is this done? In order to win you must select the problem that will give you the greatest answer.
- You'll need to consider the answer for each problem. (Hint: Remember that the further your number is to the right on a number line...the greater it is.) Have fun and we'll see you after the finish line.

- Choose at least two operations that you would like to work on. When you go to the above site it will take you to links with integers. Choose one of the following: Adding Two Digit Integers , Subtracting Two Digit Integers, Multiplying Integers, or Dividing Integers.
- Once you have selected, you will find a review on each operation. If you're ready to play, choose the play link at the top of the page.
- Here are your fun filled options: Countdown, Give Me Time, or 20 Questions. Choose the game that sounds the most exciting. You may even want to race a friend with Countdown or 20 Questions. Good luck!
