Kindergarten Reading Sites

There are five main reading standards in Kindergarten:

Rattic in the Attic

This animated online story gives you a lot of opportunities to stop and have children make predictions. This is a funny story of a farmer who can't sleep because of noise coming from his attic. Readers have the ability to change background music and to click on mouths for characters to talk. There is also a self grading quiz at the end of the story.

 

Three Little Kittens

Students can listen to the audio version of this Mother Goose classic. Perhaps you can have them raise their hand each time they hear a rhyming word.

School-Home Links: Reading Activities

At-Home Reading Kit
