Central Straightaway (9)

After passing the old tree, the stream enters the central straightaway. Some suggest that the school create a series of trout pools along the length of this section by bringing in huge rocks to create a series of stepped pools. The first portion has vegatation on both banks while the lower portion has concrete on the south bank as the owners of that side try and halt the erosion of the streambed. The third photo shows the braces that were put in place following the high runoff to try and support the south bank.
