Letter to Parents

Letting parents know about 100th Day activities.

This is an example of a letter we use:

Dear Parents,

We are going to be celebrating our 100th day of school on Thursday, February 5th. We have planned a fun day when the children will experience 100 through many activities. To help us see the different ways 100 looks, we are asking that each child bring 100 like items in an unbreakable container or ziplock bag with their name on it. Some ideas are popcorn kernels, macaroni, rice, paper clips, beans, cereal, buttons, sequins, etc. Your child may also dress up in costume as a 100 year old person, or someone who lived 100 years ago. Another idea is to decorate a paper hat with 100 things and wear it that morning. We are sending the hats home today.
As students in a community of caring school we would like to do a project to benefit those in need. We would like to collect 100 cans of food for the Utah Food Bank. Please bring a can or two if you CAN!
We need two parent volunteers to help with our activities from 8:30-10:15 a.m. If you can help please me know.
Thank you for your support.
