GIS: Using Census and Assessing Data

Summary

This lesson explores how GIS tools are used for neighborhood level analysis in real estate. Students will use "live" information to build layers using digital ortho photos, vegetation, zoning, census and assessing parcel data. In addition, the exercise illustrates the use of buffers to estimate residential property values.
