Lesson Plans

Strand: PRODUCE (7-8.E.P.)

Students will analyze, interpret, and select artistic work for performance. They will develop techniques and concepts to refine artistic work, and express meaning through the presentation of media works (Standards 7-8.E.P.1-7).

Standard 7-8.E.P.4:

Demonstrate adaptability using tools and techniques in standard and experimental ways to achieve an assigned purpose and to communicate intent in constructing media artworks.
  • DIGITAL STORYTELLING
After listening to, and discussing the various elements of podcasts, students will have the opportunity to employ what they've learned by planning, developing, and producing their own podcasts. This is a culminating project that will happen at the end of the PODCAST Unit. This will take up classes 5 through 10 in a 10 class unit and will take approximately 7 hours of work time to complete. While this lesson could be asynchronous or synchronous, the greatest successes would take place in the classroom with face to face instruction and the provided materials for production.  Photo by Harry Cunningham @harry.digital from Pexels: https://www.pexels.com/photo/close-up-shot-of-a-podcasting-gadgets-7383471/
