Lesson Plans
Strand 6
Students will identify the aspects and importance of marriage preparation and identify behaviors and financial decisions and practices that strengthen marital and family relationships.
Standard 3
Define marital roles and related issues (e.g., household responsibilities, child care, etc.). Apply methods of conflict resolution as related to marriage, and identify positive characteristics and behaviors of strong marriage relationships.

M&F Chapter 10 - Family Life Cycle
This is an indepth study of all stages of the family life cycle including the engagement, wedding, marital adjustments, middle and late marriage, aging and death.

Marital Conflict Resolution
Students will be able to identify common adjustments and methods of conflict resolution as related to marriage and apply conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies to resolve common scenarios of marital conflict including financial issues.

Marital Roles
Students will be able to identify gender bias in marriage roles and define and discuss the benefits of traditional egalitarian marriages.
