Students should be able to identify story events.
- Read the story.
- As a whole class, make sentence strips with main events of the story.
- Hand sentence strips to students randomly.
- Instruct students to organize themselves in proper sequence of the story.
Students can draw pictures of each event of another story and create a story 'quilt' in proper sequence.
