It is important that health care workers communicate with patients in a way that will help them understand the procedures they are going through.

Instructional Procedures

  1. Watch the video “My Doctor Doesn’t Speak English”. Have students complete the questions on the listening guide while they watch the video.
  2. Go through the Medical Terminology and Abbreviations PowerPoint. Have students complete the questions on the listening guide while they watch the video.
  3. Have students complete the Medical Terminology word search.
  4. Have students complete the Medical Terminology matching. The answers are included.
