Adult Roles And Responsibilities

2 class periods of 90 minutes each
Labeling can have a negative or positive affect on someone. We need to be careful not to label people but take the time to actually get to know the person.
Head bands with descriptions. Six boxes wrapped with items inside. 1 sucker per student rewrapped in a different wrapper. Rocks of different colors. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, Magazines, scissors, glue, poster paper
Review over the lesson plan ahead of time to make sure to have all the materials needed for the lesson.
Students will identify ways they label people and the affect those labels have on individuals. Students will identify their individual differences and share with the class their individuality.
Teacher may read and select activities they wish to use, or may follow the lesson outline as written.
