Student Prior Knowledge

Students should be familiar with the fashion capitols and important fashion designers.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Students will research and learn about a fashion designer.

Instructional Procedures

Day One

1. Review the fashion capitols and designers from each capitol.
2. The students, in pairs, will be researching a fashion designer and then presenting that information to the class in a 5- minute oral presentation.
3. Give them two web sites and have them research fashion designers on the web. From that research they will choose one designer.
4. The fashion designer worksheet will help give direction to their research. If you need more information, there is a great section of designer biographies in the old fashion strategies curriculum guide.

Day Two:

Have the students present their findings. They will make small visual aids or posters to help with their presentations.
