Anno 1790

Unsolved Murders. Forbidden Love. Europe in Turmoil.
Anno 1790 is an innovative crime drama set in Stockholm during the time of the Enlightenment. The French Revolution has already taken place and has created a dividing line across Europe. To freethinkers it is a beacon of hope, but to conservatives and those in power, an ominous threat. After his return from the war in Finland, Surgeon Johan Gustav Daadh takes a job as a police inspector. His methods may not be modern, but motives for the crimes remain unchanged: revenge, greed, love, jealousy and politics. He’s torn between loyalty to the king and to his progressive ideals and struggles with forbidden love for his boss’ wife Magdalena, who shares his vision for a just and free society.
