Summary:
After working through this project you will learn how Native Americans are making progress through self-determination and self-government. The Hispanic community has a rich cultural heritage. You will be able to list the contributions that African Americans have made to Utah.

How do Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders keep their cultural heritage? Why did the varied Religions impact the state of Utah and what dimension did new Immigrants add to the communities?

Examine Utah’s struggle for statehood.

Materials:

• Computer Lab with internet access.
• One computer with internet access combined with a projection system.
• A small pod of computers with internet access with rotating student groups.

Print out all information from the internet and create overheads. Use it as a extra credit assignment for students who have internet access.
