Summary:
Procedures for identification and reporting of child abuse, types of abuse, reporting responsibilities, documentation and reporting procedures.

Power point projector and copies of quiz.

Student Prior Knowledge:
Definitely helpful to have taken a child development class so they are familiar with the basics on abuse.

Intended Learning Outcomes:
Students will become aware of indicators of abuse, the law and procedures for reporting. Students will pass quiz on information at a competent level.

Instructional Procedures:
Power point presentation with discussion throughout. Quiz at the end.

Quiz on information on power point. All questions are similar to competency test bank questions.
