Summary

After learning the simple basics of threading a sewing machine, the students will complete an apron using the serger, sewing machine, backstich, and measuring.

Materials

Pattern template, dishtowels, instructions, and straps.
Dishtowels may be ordered from Park Import & Designs, 405 Gateway Dr., Goldsboro, NC, 27534, 1-800-326-3382, parkimports@parkimports.com Call for a catalogue. Be sure to order in advance! The more you order, the less expensive the towels are. This pattern uses 1 towel for the apron and 1 towel cut into 3 parts for the pocket. You will order 3/1 for each type of apron. The 1-inch check in burgundy, navy, and dark green works well.

Background for Teachers

Dishtowels should be ordered early, and in bulk.
