Introduction/Pre-Assessment
Today we will be discussing a very important issue "Sexual Harassment"

What it is?
What you can do if it happens to you?
How to avoid doing it?

Write "sexual harassment" on the board or on a piece of newsprint. Ask students if they know what it means. Write down their ideas on board.

Go to the Flirting or Hurting website for an informative interactive quiz about Sexual Harassment. Here are the questions in a handout - What do you know about Sexual Harassment? (pdf)

Or, give students the following oral Harassment Awareness quiz (pdf). Let them discuss each question as it is asked.

Content Outline, Activities and Teaching Strategies
(All options do not necessarily need to be taught. Select ones to cover standards and objectives and according to your district policies.)

Option 1: Sexual Harassment Lecture
Students will listen to and participate in Sexual Harassment Lecture (pdf). Show the Sexual Harassment PowerPoint. They will take notes on the Sexual Harassment Worksheet (pdf).

Option 2: Video
View and discuss the video called, "Flirting or Hurting."

Option 3: Harassment Activity
Students will write a script dealing with sexual harassment and how to deal with it. Use the harassment activity worksheet (pdf). They next will present their skits in class.

Option 4: Guest Speaker
Invite a police officer or school administrator into the classroom to discuss the ramifications of Sexual Harassment.
